Volunteer Chairlift Riders

Volunteer Chairlift Riders

In order to support the safety our youngest students, we are looking for volunteer chair riders!

Chairlift riders need to be able to confidently get on/off the lift, help sometimes with scooting a little rider all the way back on the seat, ensure the student is holding on at all times and riding safely, and help with getting off the lift.  Of course stories, and kid friendly jokes or songs always help pass the time too!  Chairlift riders wait at the top with the student until their teacher/assistant arrives to ensure the student’s safety.

Additionally, if you are ever out free skiing and see a large class of wee little pigs trying to find lift riders, please feel free to identify yourself as a Powderpig chair rider parent and offer to help.  We are sure the instructor would be most grateful!

Those who can commit to a regular volunteer schedule of at least 6-8 weeks, for at least 2 hrs each day may be eligible for a discounted season pass.  These are very limited quantities, with preference for those who can volunteer most weeks.

Commitment:
For those who already have a season pass, we welcome any dates/times you are willing to help out!  We do ask that in order to better identify our helpers, please complete the volunteer sign up and agreement.  We also have a quick best practices training to help ensure success and safety in this role.

In order to be eligible for a discounted pass we request that a volunteer is able to commit to the following:

For Fri PM: 2 hours of chair riding per volunteer day
For Sat/Sun: we ask for at least 2 hours of chair riding, one in the AM and one in the PM, as we really struggle with getting enough riders in the afternoon for our sweet little pigs!
