How are classes made?

Powderpigs is a child centered ski school, meaning that we take into account the learner and all that makes them unique, into our class building process.  Our students are placed in classes with careful attention given to compatibility with fellow students and a fit with their instructor. Consider our class building process a "special sauce" that has served students for over 50 years!

Classes are built using a myriad of factors, where generally we start with age and skill level.  Then we take into consideration what kind of learner the student is, what kinds of class dynamics are needed to help them be successful as well as how often the student skis/rides outside of lessons.  We try to balance all these factors to create a class that is complementary & cohesive.  This also means that we may not be able to accommodate all friend requests.

The information you give us on the registration enables us to do this job successfully and gives student’s instructors the information they need to do their job well, so please make sure these are updated each year! Check out this Article on what info we use, how, and why!
