Do you allow Friend Requests?
Is it possible to place my student in the same class as their best friend?
We get asked this question frequently! We ask if you have any friend requests during registration, so that we can get this information as early as possible. Please note that we try, but cannot always accommodate all friend requests.
We consider friend requests when building classes, however our primary objective is to always create safe, fun, learning environments for everyone in the class. Which means that we cannot guarantee that friend requests can be accommodated.
We consider skill, learning style and speed as more conducive to creating the ideal learning environment, before we consider friend requests. Consider it our "special sauce" to student success.
We do acknowledge that skiing is a social sport, and we want to encourage skiing with friends as much as possible outside of ski lessons! Lunch and right at the end of lessons are a great time to take couple laps with friends!
One unique feature of Powderpigs, is that we try to switch students from their class very little. So your child will get to spend 9 weeks with a similar group of students. Instructors work to create some class unity and fun so that even if your child's bestie isn't in the same class, they will likely find a great new group of kids to ski with. We often have classes where students have ended up together for multiple years, fostering friendships outside of ski school!
